About Me

Welcome to the ABOUT ME blog!

The ABOUT ME Experience is an advocacy initiative of Compassion Australia.

Compassion Australia, an international Christian holistic child development ministry that’s committed to child advocacy and working in partnership with churches around the world to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Currently over 75,000 children are sponsored through Compassion Australia, (www.compassion.com.au) with over one million sponsored world-wide through our Compassion International partners.

At Compassion we are extremely passionate about seeing kids released from poverty. The aim of ABOUT ME is to help raise awareness of the horrific abuse suffered by children living in poverty, and to inspire others to make a difference.

We want to use this blog to talk about and reflect on issues of child poverty, and to hear more about what we can all do to provide hope and opportunities for kids who are powerless to change their circumstances, simply becasue they were born poor.

We will alert you to new campaigns, events and resources, as well as provide information to equip and inspire you to make a difference. We can all do something to change the world – one child at a time.
